DIED,

KEEFE.—At her home in Afton township, Anna M. Wife of ex-Supervisor Keefe, aged 37 years.

Thus a loving wife and fond mother and an earnest christian has been taken from our midst. The deceased was a lady of sterling worth and those who knew her, know what a loss she is to her family and to the community. She leaves three little boys of her own, besides her step-son, (to whom she has always been a loving mother) and the bereaved husband to mourn her sad loss.

O mother dear, why did you go.
And leave us in this world of strife’
Our feet might chance to go astray,
Or waver from the path of life.

Why did you break the ties that bound
You to your loved ones here on earth;
Your death has called our hearts to feel
A loneliness nee’r lost in mirth.

‘Twas God that called thee mother dear,
You never went because you would,
But God’s own holy will be done;
He never willed but for our good.

Watch from your bright and radient place,
Watch from your bright and radient throne
That we may again rest in your arms,
When God shall call your children home.

--A SYMPATHIZER.
