Margaret L. “Maggie” Hauser, age 82 of Cresco, Iowa died Thursday, June 26 at the Cresco Care Center in Cresco. Maggie was born July 20, 1931 In Des Moines, Iowa to Clyde and Vina (Latimer) Daugherty. She graduated from Lacona High School in Lacona, Iowa. After High School she and her family moved to Indianola, Iowa where she married Max Goode who passed away from cancer. She later married Clifford Hauser on December 17, 1971 in Liberty Center, Iowa. Maggie worked at the ASCS office in Warren and Howard Counties and retired after 30 years of service. Clifford and Maggie moved to Cresco in 1976. They are active members of the Cresco Community Chapel. They have made many friends from the Chapel and the city of Cresco. For many years Cliff and Maggie spent the winter in Port Aransas, Texas where they had many friends. Maggie is survived by her husband Clifford of Cresco; her sister Della McKinney of Indianola, Iowa; three step-children: Thomas (Sharon) Hauser of Hemet, California, Wanda (Tom) Rechsteiner of Carlsbad, California and Susan Reiter of Coral Springs, Florida; two nephews: Tim Daugherty and Paul Albert, and many step grand and great-grandchildren.

6:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Sunday, June 29, 2014 At Cresco Community Chapel, 24024 Highway 9 East, Cresco, Iowa 52136.

11:00 am on Monday, June 30, 2014 At Cresco Community Chapel, 24024 Highway 9 East, Cresco, Iowa 52136.

Cemetery:
New Oregon Cemetery, rural Cresco, Iowa.
