Sudden Demise.

Last Sunday morning Mrs. Amelia Tuttle mother of Mrs. C. J Webber arose in her usual health except a heavy pain in the head. For this she took a small quantity of chloroform and went to her room to lie down and rest till breakfast indulging in pleasant conversation as she passed out of the hall and ascended the stairs. During the next few moments Mrs. Webber’s little boy Johnny went up to her room twice, the second time returning to say that grandma had cotton in her mouth and nose. Immediately going to her room she was found to be already in the icy embrace of death, whose summons must have been brief and obeyed without a struggle or a moment’s notice, it having been not more than twenty minutes previous that she went to her room.

Her maiden name was Amelia Baldwin, her birth place Groton, N. Y., her age was 50 the ninth of August last. Her father and mother live at Wilton Junction in this State; she also has a brother and sister in Iowa. The deceased formerly lived in Warren, Pa., where she was married we believe; her husband passing away some five or six years since.

Her sudden and unexpected death is a terrible blow to Mr. and Mrs. Webber and the grand children, by all of whom she was greatly beloved.
