Died in Cresco Iowa, May 20, 1882, Ida F. wife of John G. Stradley and daughter of L. T. and Frances M. Woodcock, aged 25 years 5 months and 2 days.
The deceased was born in Waukon the 18th of December 1856, coming to Cresco with her parents when but a little girl, and growing to the years of womanhood here. She was well known and universally loved, cherished and respected. Three years ago she was married with John G. Stradley who was devotedly attached to her. With her husband she always remained with her parents, and died under the parental roof. She leaves her parents, husband, an infant son some six months old, to mourn her untimely demise. In their irreparable loss they have the sympathetic sorrow of all our people.

The following resolutions adopted as a tribute to the memory of Mrs. Ida Stradley by the Ladies Aid Society of the Congregational Church Cresco, of which she was an honored member.
WHEREAS: Our Father in his inscrutable wisdom has called to His home one of our members whose pure life endeared her to all.
Therefore be it
RESOLVED: That we shall ever miss her gentle presence, love her memory, and mourn our loss.
RESOLVED: That we tender to the bereaved husband and parents of the deceased our sincere and heart-felt sympathy in this their great affliction and may our all wise Providence guide and protect the little child through the coming years and grant them all, that peace and comfort He alone can bestow.
RESOLVED: That a copy of these resolutions be sent the husband and parents of the deceased, and that a copy be furnished the Cresco papers for publication also that a copy be placed on the records of the society as an expression of the esteem in which she was held by it.
