Services held for John Jenkins, 61

Funeral services for John Jenkins of Lime Springs were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 7 at the United Methodist Church in Lime Springs. Interment was in the Foreston Cemetery rural Lime Springs. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

John 61, died Thursday, June 3, 1999 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County.

John Jenkins was born April 2, 1938, at Osage, the son of Henry and Catherine (Schmidt) Jenkins. He attended school in Austin, MN.

On November 25, 1961, he married Melba Wahlers in Austin, MN. John farmed and was employed at Boos Implement.

Survivors include his wife, Melba; two sons: Scott of Lime Springs and Jeffrey of Osage; four grandchildren; his mother, Catherine Jenkins of Grapeview, WA; three brothers: George of Lake Mills, Tom of Glendale, WI, and Paul of Austin, MN; five sisters: Judy Buffington of Chetak, WI, Mary Sembrat of Danville, CA, Marlene Pickens of Greenriver, WA, Carol Passow of Gresham, OR, and Margie Veitch of Belfair, WA.

John was preceded in death by his father.
