Funeral Services This Afternoon for Mrs. Cora Butz,78

Mrs. Cora Butz,78, former resident of Ridgeway, and brother of Orville Allen of Ridgeway, who died in Westfield, New Jersey, Friday, was brought to Cresco this morning for burial.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon in the Bradley Funeral home with the Rev. Robert Butler, pastor of the Cresco Methodist church, in charge. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn cemetery.

Mrs. Butz, the former Cora Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Allen, was born in Ridgeway, January 23, 1874. She was married to Henry Butz January 3, 1900. Mr. Butz operated a hardware store in Ridgeway for several years. He died February 19, 1918. Mrs. Butz left Ridgeway to make her home in New Jersey about 30 years ago.

Surviving Mrs. Butz are her children, Allen Butz of Saint Paul,Mrs. Dana Weaver of Westfield, New Jersey, and Mrs. William Britten of Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Also surviving are two brothers, Orville of Ridgeway, and Robert Allen of Scappoose, Oregon, and nine grandchildren. A sister, Nellie Prann,preceded Mrs. Butz in death.
