Funeral services for Jerry Brown of Cresco were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 1997, at the United Methodist Church in Cresco. Rev. Lewis Flanigan officiated. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery with Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He died Wednesday, February 5, 1997, at Howard County Hospital.

Jerald Allen Brown was born July 17, 1941, in Winneshiek County, the son of Brayton B. and Esther I. (Trouten) Brown. He attended school in Cresco, then he moved to the west coast where he spent most of his adult life, returning to Cresco in 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Seth and Rhett Brown; one grandson; and one brother, Lyle Brown of Cresco.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
