Esther Brown,81, services held

Funeral services for Esther Brown, 81, who died April 4, 1988 at Evans Memorial Home, were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7 in the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Allen Wiese officiated. Interment was in Oak Lawn cemetery with the Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Esther (Trouten) Brown was Sept. 2, 1906 in Winneshiek county to Earl and Henrietta (Elliott) Trouten. She married Brayton Brown on December 21, 1927. Esther lived in Winneshiek county all of her life.

She is survived by two sons, Lyle of Cresco and Geral of Spokane, WA; three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and two great grandchildren; also a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Hazel) Eddy and a brother, Willard Trouten, both of Cresco.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1980.
