Richard was born April 7, 1950 in Cresco to Lloyd and Eleanor (Roberts) Solomon. He graduated from Crestwood High School in 1969. He served in the US Army from 1971 to 1975. Richard drove semi for Brian Roburg he later drove a sanitation truck for Hawkeye Sanitation, and was a park ranger at lake Hendricks in Riceville. In his spare time Richard loved fishing and hunting. Richard is survived by 5 cousins: Shirley (Dale) Bigalk of Cresco, Sharon Solomon of Stewartville, MN, Ken (Wendie) Solomon of Cresco, Deborah Lamoreaux of La Crosse, WI and Bobbie Potter (friend Jim Tollefson) of Austin, MN and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; aunts and uncles: Wayne and Edith Solomon, Carol Ward, Earl Roberts and a special cousin David Ward.

Visitation:
10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco.

Service:
11:00 am on Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco with Pastor Mike Simiele officiating.

Inurnment at a later date in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Cresco.
