Myrtle Bateman,83, services held today
Funeral services for Myrtle Bateman will be held at 11:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, December 23, at the United Methodist Church in Cresco. The Rev. Allen Wiese will officiate with interment to be in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Conway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She died Sunday, December 20, 1992, at the Cresco Care Center at the age of 83.
Myrtle Bateman was born in Cresco, September 6, 1909, the daughter of Glen E. and Mattie J. (Halweg) Holcomb.
Myrtle married Nathan House. In 1943, she married Harold Bateman.
She was a homemaker. Myrtle attended the United Methodist Church in Cresco.
Surviving Myrtle is her sister, Irene Frenzel of Wilton, IA.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Nathan House; her second husband, Harold Bateman, who died July 19, 1978, in Minneapolis; and her daughter, Betty Koliha.
