DIED.

AVERILL--In New Oregon, Iowa, June 28, 1879, Jerusha wife of H. K. Averill, aged 63 years.

The deceased was daughter of Phil. Arnold, of Scott, Cortland County, N. Y., and mother of W. D. Fletcher, Ed. Fletcher and Mrs. Thos. P. Ivens of Fort Erie, Canada. She came to Wisconsin in 1845, and removed to this county with her children twenty years later, residing at New Oregon since. A good wife and an affectionate mother has gone. She will be missed and mourned in the home she leaves vacant.
