ST. JOHN--Of Consumption, in Jamestown on the 18th of March, Rhoda L., wife of Dea. I. H. St. John, aged 60 years and 10 months.

The deceased, with her family, removed from Delaware county, N.Y., to this county, in the spring of 1858, and is thus identified with its early settlement.

She has been a consistent member of the Congregational Church over forty years. Her daily life has exemplified the beauty and purity of the Christian religion.

All who knew her deplore her loss, but none so deeply as her beloved family. The Church with which she was connected, claimed and were granted the privilege of following her remains to the grave, as mourners.

A beautiful life has passed away,
A beautiful gleam, a heavenly ray
From the world of light, to cheer our way,
And show us the way to endless day.
