Obituary of J.P. Bauer

J.P. Bauer was born at Oberlinagen, Germany Sept 23, 1854 and came to America at the age of fourteen. In 1878, March 23, he was united in marriage to Lenora D. Fortune. Four children were born to this union: Mrs. Abbie Schmidt, residing on a farm near Elma; Irwin P. Bauer, residing on a farm near Schley; Mrs. Nellie Maronda of near Davis Corners, and E.J. in a hospital at present.

After a year of sickness be passed away very unexpectedly Saturday morning. He leaves to mourn his untimely death his widow, four children and eleven grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral was conducted from the home on third avenue east on Monday afternoon. Rev. C.S. Carroll of the Baptist Church having charge of the service. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
