Clarence Daniel Andrus, son of Daniel P. and Mary Andrus, was born at Lima, Fayette county, Ia., August 11, 1865, and passed to his reward April 25, 1934, at his home in Cresco, aged 68 years, 8 months, and 14 days. He had lived in Cresco 32 years.

In 1895 he was married to Miss Gertrude Rush of West Union, Ia. One son was born to them, Richard, now of Austin, Minn. Mrs. Andrus died eight years ago.

For a period of about ten years Mr. Andrus was in the employ of the city of Cresco.

He is survived by his son Richard of Austin; one sister, Mrs. Ida Cornish, and one brother, Charles Andrus, both of Cresco, Iowa, two grandchildren, Norma Jean and Kenneth Andrus of Austin, two nephews, one niece and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Andrus was a member of the Woodmen of the World who participated in the funeral service held Friday afternoon in the Methodiat church. Rev. W.H. Mitchell, pastor of the church officiated. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery. Pallbearers were L.H. Ferrie, H.W. Rutherford, Will Patterson, Paul Daughenbaugh, E.L. Davenport and S. Callison.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Andrus and Children of Austin were here for the funeral.
