ANDRUS, WHITE, POWELL, CORNICH

Funeral services for Charles H. Andrus were held at the Bradley funeral home at two o'clock Friday afternoon. The Rev. Geo. W. Turner, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated. Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Thos. Darby sang "in the Garden," and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" with Mrs. Paul Nagel playing the piano accompaniment. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery.

Mr. Andrus was a son of Daniel and Mary Andrus. He was born at Lima, Fayette county, Iowa, Dec. 1, 1872 and died at the home of his son Glenn Wednesday, June 6, 1945. He was 72 years, 6 months and 5 days old.

Married in 1897

On Dec. 16, 1897, he was married to Rena White of Cresco and to them two children were born, Doris who is Mrs. Raymond Powell of Delevan, Wis., and Glenn of Bonair, Iowa.

He is survived by his daughter and son, one sister Mrs. Ida Cornish of Cresco, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Members of the Woman's Corps of which Mr. Andrus' sister, Mrs. Cornish, has been a long time and ardent member attended the funeral and graveside services in a body.

Mr. and Mrs. Powell of Delevan, were here for the funeral.
