Dolores Foote, 86 of Lime Springs, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Cresco Care Center in Cresco, Iowa. Dolores Victoria (Ruzicka) Foote was born on February 4, 1927 in Fillmore County, Minnesota, north of Chester, Iowa. She was born to Frank and Christine (Lawler) Ruzicka, the youngest of six children. She attended country school through the 5th grade, when she moved to Lime Springs and attended Public School. She graduated in 1945. On October 9, 1946, she married Earl (Bob) Foote at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. To this union three children were born. She lived most of her life in Howard County, working various jobs around Lime Springs, including 13 years at Peter Produce. She was a member of the United Methodist Church holding various offices as well as being a Sunday School Teacher. She was a den mother for Boy Scouts and also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary unit 545, having held many offices in the local, county, and district levels. She was active in Lime Springs Seniors. Dolores loved playing cards, sewing, and gardening. She is survived by her three children: Linda (Delbert) Warnke of Lime Springs, Iowa, Edward (Sherri) Foote of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Dennis (Diane) Foote of Altoona, Iowa, seven grandchildren: Andrea (Matt) Carter, Dan (Tamyra) Warnke, Alex Foote, Darsi (Rob) Meek, Chelsea (Mike) Jones, and Sarah and Daryl Foote, nine great-grandchildren: Adanna and Colby Warnke, Sean and Brian Grimm, Charity and Tristen Meek, and Grant, Jackson, and Emma Carter, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, three sisters, and two brothers.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco, Iowa, as well as one hour prior to services at the Community Center.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Lime Springs Community Center at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lime Springs.
