Funeral services for Rose Decker of Lime Springs were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 23 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lime Springs with Rev. Linda Prestholt-Johnson officiating.

Interment will be in the spring at New Oregon Cemetery in rural Cresco. Pallbearers were: Brian Roesler, Darwin Roesler, Shad Decker, David Sjullie, David Sjullie, Jr., Gregory Sjullie, and Adam Howland. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Rose, 92, died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Colonial Manor in Elma.

Rose Barbara Decker was born March 31, 1911 in Fayette County, the daughter of John and Mary Koester.

On October 25, 1934 she married Louie Decker.

Rose loved working with her flowers, sewing, quilting, and crocheting.

She is survived by six children: Betty Roesler of Lime Springs, Carl of Lawler, Arlene Sjullie of Cedar Rapids, Donald of Tyler, TX, Luella Postel of Central City, and Louie of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and one sister: Lillian Farrell of LaCrosse, WI.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband Louie; one step grandchild; her parents; and one brother.
