Iowa Plain Dealer, either the end of March or early April, 1874.

Mr. John Fravel living in Paris Township was instantly killed by a runaway team on Tuesday morning. He had been to a neighbor's to get a wagon and sitting on the wagon reach to ride home, his team which is in the habit of running away started, throwing him to the ground with such force that Mr. Hatter who reached him in less than a minute after the team started, reports him dead when he reached him. The deceased leaves a wife and two small children to mourn their loss.
