DIED

In New Oregon Nov. 11, 1871, Mrs. Charlotte M. Mitchell, wife of Josiah F. Mitchell aged about forty-one years.

The deceased was one of the noblest, purest, and best women of our acquaintance, always ready to aid the suffering and relieve distress, whether its victims were of the proud or humble. One of the pioneer settlers of the county, always remaining in this immediate vicinity. She departs mourned by all, as she was loved in life by all. A husband and children, with a large circle of relatives and friends are by this dispensation of Providence bereft of a loving wife, kind mother and a true friend.
