Martin Lamprecht, 72, County Native, Dies
Martin H. Lamprecht, 72, of Waterloo, died at Schoitz Memorial hospital of complications following a stroke on Tuesday.
He was born Dec. 23, 1899, in Howard county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lamprecht. He had lived in Waterloo for the past 45 years. He was married to Alice Buckingham on July 21, 1952, at Bethany, Mo. He was a member of the Trinity American Lutheran church and was chief engineer at the Russel-Lamson hotel for 14 years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Martin of Cedar Falls and John of Salt Lake City, Utah, seven grandchildren, a brother William of Elma; six sisters, Mrs. Emma Hadley of Bovina Center, N.Y., Mrs. Minnie Meyerhoff on Bernard, Mrs. Anna Rosenow of Sumner, Mrs. Ida Tetzner of Riceville, Mrs. Lydia Tetzner of Waukesha, Wis., and Mrs. Rose Zipse Of New Hampton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Funeral services for Mr. Lamprecht were held on Friday morning at the Kathryn Pohl Chapel at Park Memorial in Waterloo. The Rev. R.M. Meyer of Trinity Lutheran officiated.
