Victor Streich, 83, services in Rochester

Funeral services for Victor Streich, 83, of Rochester, MN were held at 11:30 a.m. April 5, at Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roger Polansky and the Rev. Orville Friedrich, a nephew, officiating. Interment was at 3:00 p.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery at Maple Leaf, rural Elma. Arrangements were with Vine Funeral Home of Rochester.

He died April 2, 1990 of an apparent heart attack at his home in Rochester.

Victor Streich was born June 4, 1906 in Elma. He graduated from Elma High School in 1919.

On August 29, 1933 he married Dora E. Friedrich in Elma. The couple farmed on his family’s farm until 1949 when he became a grain buyer for the Howard County Equity Cooperative. Mr. Streich retired in 1969.

The couple moved to Rochester in 1971. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. James (Alvera) Cisewski of Coon Rapids and a brother, Edwin of Elma.

His parents and a son preceded him in death.
