Michael Fogarty, 63 Funeral at Waterloo

Funeral services for Michael Fogarty ,63, of Waterloo, were at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Duane Brady officiating.

Mr. Fogarty died late Monday of a heart condition at a hotel, according to the Black Hawk county medical examiner, Dr. Paul O'Keefe.

Michael Fogarty was born August 31, 1908, in Elma, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fogarty. He married Marie Sweeney in 1932 and the were later divorced.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church.

He is survived by a son, Thomas, of Chicago, Ill., his parents of Cedar Rapids, two sisters, Angela of Cedar Rapids, and Madonna of Maquoketa, five brothers, Paul and James of Cedar Rapids, Francis of Elma, John of Burlington, Eddie of Kansas City, Kan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald of Elma.

Attending the funeral from Elma were Francis Fogarty and Mrs. Gary Acker, Mrs. Edna Fogarty accompanied Francis Fogarty to the wake.
