Mrs. Robert Pesek, 44, Funeral Held Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Robert Pesek were held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross church at Schley with the Rev. Clarence Kruse officiating. Burial was in the Holy Cross cemetery with the Peckosh-Conway Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Pesek died June 3, at her home of cancer. She had been ill for two years.

She was born Jan. 29, 1928, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Balik. She attended grade school in Spillville and Calmar high school. On June 15, 1948, she married Robert C. Pesek at Spillville. She was a housewife, a member of Holy Cross church and the Altar and Rosary society.

Mrs. Pesek is survived by her husband, four children, Gerald Pesek of Des Moines, Stephen Pesek of Cresco, Jean and Julie Pesek at home; her parents of Spillville; two grandchildren; brothers and sisters, George Balik of Cresco, Edward Balik, Louis Balik, Jr. and Jim Balik all of Ridgeway; Mrs. Emily Moudry of Calmar, Mrs. Fritz Bily of Omaha, Neb.; and Mrs. Linus Wiest of Dallas, Tex.

She was active in the ACCW and teaching CCD classes in Schley.

Relatives and friends attending the funeral were from Dallas, Tex., Omaha, Neb., Cedar Rapids, Cresco, Schley, Spillville, Protivin, Fort Atkinson, Calmar, Mason City, Des Moines, and Lourdes.
