Funeral for Mrs. Mary Koudelka at Holy Cross Church

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Koudelka, 78, who died in the Hyberger Nursing home Friday, were held yesterday (Tuesday) morning at the Schley Holy Cross Catholic church.

The Rev. Clement Burke, assistant pastor, offered the requiem mass, and burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church. The Peckosh Funeral home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Koudelka, the former Mary E. Praska, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Praska, was born in Iowa July 15, 1883. She was married to Frank Koudelka, who died 10 years ago.

Surviving Mrs. Koudelka are four sons and one daughter, including Clarence Koudelka of Lourdes, Mrs. Louis (Tillie) Gebel of Lawler, and Adolph, Leonard and August Koudelka of Cresco. There are also six grandchildren, including two brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Novak of Protivin, Mrs. Ed Jirak of Waterloo, Frank and Louis Praska of Waterloo, and Mrs. Ed Benedict of Chicago.

Preceding Mrs. Koudelka in death, in addition to her husband, were a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Opat, who died January 28, and a son, Bennie Koudelka, who died several years ago.
