E. A. Koudelka, 54, Dies Following Attack Saturday

Funeral services for Edward A. Koudelka, 54, Elma farmer, who died at his farm home following a heart attack Thursday, were held at the Schley Holy Cross Catholic church Saturday morning.

Mr. Koudelka suffered from a heart condition for several years and from arthritis the last year.

Offering the funeral mass was the Rev. J. S. Skluzacek, pastor, and burial was in the Holy Cross church cemetery. The Peckosh Funeral home had charge of the arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers were six nephews of Mr. Koudelka, including Harvey Koshatka, Martin Koudelka, Donald Tlusty, Ronald Tlusty, Albert Tlusty and Robert Randak.

Mr. Koudelka, son of Mrs. Katie Koudelka of Lawler, and the late Albert Koudelka, was born in Howard county January 16, 1907. Mr. Koudelka attended the Howard county rural schools. He was a life-long resident of the county.

He was married to Margaret Tlusty in Our Lady of Lourdes church, at Lourdes, November 12, 1935. Mr. and Mrs. Koudelka became the parents of two children.

Surviving Mr. Koudelka are his wife, and his children, Mrs. Ermin (Wilma) Frana of Mabel, Minnesota, and William Koudelka of Elma. His mother, Mrs. Katie Koudelka of Lawler, also survives. There are also one brother, John Koudelka of Lawler, and five sisters, Mrs. Henry Tlusty, Mrs. Raymond Clynch, Mrs. Adolph Randak and Mrs. Raymond Capouch, all of Cresco, and Mrs. Ed Tlusty of Lawler. There are four grandchildren, Eugene, Anthony, Allen and Ronald Frana.

Relatives and friends from Owatonna, Staples, Minneapolis and Mabel, Minnesota, and Evansdale, Charles City, Calmar, Elma, Protivin, Cresco, Waterloo, Ossian and Fort Atkinson attended the funeral services.
