Mrs. Helen Ingraham Funeral Held Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Ingraham, 68, were held Saturday at the St. Joseph’s Catholic church with a requiem high mass conducted by the Rev. R. Schares. Burial was in the Holy Cross cemetery at Schley with the Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She died June 5, at her home from a heart condition.

She was born Aug. 20, 1905 at Maple Leaf, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shimek. She married Leslie Ingraham at Ann Arbor, Mich., on Feb. 20, 1932. They lived in Charles City and West Salem, Wisc. After her husband’s death on Nov. 25, 1967, she moved to Cresco.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sister, Mrs. Louise Maravetz and Mary, who died in infancy; and a brother, Joseph.

Mrs. Ingraham is survived by two brothers, William Shimek of Waterloo and Edward of Elma; four sisters, Mrs. Jessie Svestka of Cresco, Johanna Shimek and Mrs. Lucy Carrol of Waterloo, and Mrs. Thomas (Bernadette) Burke of Elma; and her God child, Mrs. Giovanne Mae Hruska; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends attending the funeral were from West Salem and LaCrosse, Wis., Minnesota, Des Moines, Grundy Center, Waterloo, Charles City, Riceville, Elma, Cresco, and Rudd.
