Roger Grabau, 59, Services Today

Funeral services for Roger Grabau will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, at the United Methodist Church in Cresco with the Rev. Allen Wiese officiating. Burial will be in Phillips cemetery. Arrangements are with Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home.

Roger Earl Grabau was born November 12, 1928 at Lakota, the son of Earl and Manchile Hunter Grabau. He attended school at Lakota, Dodge Center and graduated from Cresco High School. Roger graduated from Winona State University in 1950 with a bachelor of science degree in business. Following his graduation he served in the U.S. Navy at Pensacola, Fl. for four years as a pilot, returning to the Bonair area where he farmed until his death.

On July 26, 1958, he married Marvel James at the Bonair United Methodist Church. They were the parents of three children.

Survivors are his wife, Marvel at Lime Springs, a daughter, Mrs. Todd (Ann Lisa) Kowalke of Peoria, Il., two sons, Alan Roger of Albert Lea, Mn. And Tim David of rural Lime Springs, his father, Earl Grabau of rural Lime Springs and two sisters, Mrs. Gerry (Althea) Hilliard of Stacy, Mn. and Mrs. Stan (Janet) Austin of LaCrescent, Mn.

His mother preceded him in death in 1958.
