Mabel Friedrich, 86, services at Maple Leaf

Services for Mabel Friedrich, age 86, of Elma who died on Wednesday, April 19, 1989 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Elma were held on Friday, April 21, 1989 at 2 p.m. in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with burial in Maple Leaf cemetery with Vicar Paul Winningham officiating.

Mabel was born January 14th, 1903 to Mr. and Mrs. August Lauck and attended a Howard County rural school. She married Dan Friedrich on December 6, 1923 in St. Paul’s Maple Leaf Lutheran Church, Elma and to this union 3 sons were born.

Mabel was a lifetime resident of the Elma area, a housewife and attended St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include 3 sons, Floyd of Elma, Dale of Gilbert, Ariz. and Donald of Ankeny, Ia. and one sister, Rosanna Hidding, Elma, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband Dan, her parents, 3 brothers, William, August and Albert and 2 sisters, Dora Rimrodt and Elsie and 1 granddaughter, Julie Ann Friedrich.
