Arthur J. Buhr, 66, services held Wednesday

Funeral services for Arthur J. Buhr, 66, of Elma were held Wednesday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Paul Maple Leaf Lutheran church with Rev. Bernhardt Polesky officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Arthur died at the Osage hospital on Sunday, December 11 from cancer.

He was born March 24, 1917 on a farm north of Elma where he lived his entire life. He was the son of William and Bertha (Kuechenmeister) Buhr. He was confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran church, New Hampton.

He married Luella Hunemiller on June 11, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran church, New Hampton.

Survivors are his wife, a daughter Mrs. Alan (Arlys) Sikkink of Zumbrota, Minn.; two sons Curtis of Des Moines and Melroy at home; three grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Henry (Henrietta) Haar and Mrs. Rudy (Lenora) Minkel both of Sumner; five brothers, William of Westgate, John of Cresco, Bernard of Sumner, Vern of Goldfield and Raymond of Saratoga.

His parents, four brothers, Carl, Henry, Fred and Walter and one daughter Martha preceded him in death.
