Wellington Bigalk, 78, services held Monday

Funeral services for Wellington Bigalk, 78, were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lime Springs. The Rev. Gale Chilson officiated with burial in Albion Township Cemetery, rural Cresco. Lindstrom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Wellington was born December 27, 1906, in Albion township to John and Adelheide Bigalk. He married Juanita Smith on February 9, 1931, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Wellington farmed in the Albion township area all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Thelma) Warnke of Harmony; three sons, Dale of Hanau, Germany, John of Princeton, and Walter of Harmony, MN; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Harry, George, Carl and Edgar, and a sister, Mrs. Leone Mueller.
