HANNEMANN – At his home in Davis Corners, Howard Co., Iowa, Dec. 20, 1891, Mr. Julius F. Hannemann, aged 50 years and 3 months.

The deceased leaves a wife and eight children to mourn his loss, who have the sympathy of our whole community in their sad bereavement.

Fold the hands and close the eyelids,
All his earthly toils are o’er;
He is with his waiting loved ones,
On the bright immortal shore.

Stricken low, yet calm and patient,
Waited he God’s own good time;
Fearless met the King of terrors,
Happy in his faith sublime.

Now from pleasant board and fireside
We shall miss a father’s face.
Loving hearts in anguish yield his
To death’s silent cold embrace.

Let our father’s fair example,
Prove a guide before our feet;
Leading us to God’s bright heaven,
Where through faith we all may meet.
