Maud Gibbons Lemon, Native of County, Dies

Funeral services for Maud Gibbons Lemon,85, a native of Howard county, were held Nov. 14 at the Bethel United church of Mair, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Mrs. Lemon, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gibbons, was born Feb.8,1887. She graduated from the Cresco public school in 1905. She was a member of the Bethel United church and the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one child, who died in infancy.

Mrs. Lemon is survived by 10 children, Alice McGinness, Marion Lundstrom, Jean Lemon, all of Cedar Rapids, James Lemon, Mrs. William Sauter, Wilbur Lemon, Carol Newland, Karl Lemon, Don Lemon, and Bonne Lemon. She is also survived by one brother, Lee Gibbons of Reedsport, Oreg., and one sister, Mrs. Ray Webber of Cresco. Mrs. Lemon has 32 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
