Dwain Gaul, 86 of rural Cresco, IA passed away at the Patty Elwood Center in Cresco, IA on Monday, August 20, 2012. Dwain was born on August 7, 1926, in Winneshiek County, IA to William & Alice (Whalen) Gaul. Dwain was on of twelve children. He was a lifelong area farmer. He enjoyed his frequent drives enjoying the local crop scenery and wildlife, often stopping in and visiting family and friends. He enjoyed wrestling & had a great love of coon hunting. He is survived by his wife Luwane of 62 years of Cresco, IA, 9 children, Rose (Roger) Enestvedt of Sacred Heart, MN, Allen (Karen) Gaul of rural Cresco, IA, Vivian (Doug) Richards of Lake Mills, IA, Mike (Deb) Gaul of Nora Springs, IA, Geri (Tom) Weaklen of Anamosa, IA, Joan Gaul of Cresco, IA, Duane (Michelle) Gaul of New Hampton, IA, Annette (Mike) Duryee of Cresco, IA, and Joe Gaul of Cresco, IA, 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 grandchildren, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 where there will be a 5:30 p.m. scripture service.

Private family burial will be held at a later date.
