Lawrence J. Lepa of Cresco, IA died Sunday, January 19, 1992 at the Cresco Care Center in Cresco. He was 70. Interment was in Howard Center Cemetery with Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Lawrence J. Lepa was born December 2, 1921, in Ostrander, MN, the son of James and Pearl (Lathrop) Lepa. He attended the Maple Leaf country school. He served in the army six years and three and one half months and was a WWII veteran 101 First Airborne. Lawrence was a bricklayer most of his life and also poured and finished concrete.
He is survived by four sons, Wayne, Rick and Craig, all of Cresco, and Larry of Lincoln, NE; eight grandchildren; one brother, Roger of Lime Springs and three sisters, Marian Huffey of Storm Lake, Dorothy Kratz and Lucille Dotzler both of Cresco.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, Dale and John and two grandchildren.
