F. Hecht, father-in-law of A. Baumgartner, died Feb. 15, aged 73 years. He leaves three children and seven grandchildren to mourn his loss.

Mr. Fred Heckt died last week, and was buried in the Howard Center cemetery on the 17th. He was ill but a short time; was 79 years of age, and an old resident of this township. He leaves a son Frebert Heckt, and two daughters, Mrs. Heinecke of Cresco, and Mrs. A. M. Baumgartner with whom he lived, to mourn him.

Transcriber’s Note: The names are spelled two different ways. Cemetery records show the correct spelling is Hecht. Also the age was different - cemetery records show he was born in 1813.

Mr. Fred Heckt, of Howard Center is dead. He was about 79 years of age and had been a long-time resident of the town. His home was with his daughter, Mrs. A. M. Baumgartner of Howard Center {remainder of article is missing}
