Albert Henke Rites Conducted on Nov. 21
Funeral services for Albert Henke were held Nov. 21, at the Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral home with the Rev. E. C. Franke officiating. Burial was in the Howard Center cemetery. He died at the Evans Memorial home on Nov. 18, at the age of 85.
Albert August Friebert Henke was born May 26, 1885 in Howard county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Henke. On June 21, 1885, he was baptized into the Lutheran faith by the Rev. E. N. Heimann. He was confirmed in the former St. Martin’s Lutheran church of Davis Corners by the Rev. Niedermeier. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church at the time of his death.
Mr. Henke farmed with his father in Howard county until 1914, when they moved to Cresco. He then did construction work. He was employed by the Fred Carlson Construction company, Rathert and Son, Mellang Brothers, and others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mrs. John (Edith) Aberly; and one infant brother.
Mr. Henke is survived by his sisters, Mrs. Lena Baldner and Mrs. Anna Niewald, both of Cresco, and nieces and nephew.
