HENKE – At the home of his son, Mr. Aug. Henke, near Davis Corners, Nov. 20, 1893, Mr. John Henke, aged 77 years and 6 months.

John Henke was born in Pommern, Prussia, June 21, 1815, where he resided until 1886, when he and his wife and an adopted daughter came to Iowa and made their home with his son.

His wife preceded him in death six years ago. They were both laid in the Howard Center cemetery.

He leaves two sons and one adopted daughter to mourn his loss.

The family have the sympathy of our whole community in their sad bereavement.
