Fred Daws, 86, Dies on Monday

Funeral services for Fred Daws, 86, of Cresco, who died in the Cresco hospital Monday night, are being held this afternoon (Wednesday) in the Bradley Funeral home.

The Rev. Benjamin Shaw, pastor of the Cresco Baptist church is in charge of the services. Burial will be in the Howard Center cemetery.

Mr. Daws served for a number of years as janitor at the West ward school. The last six years he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Ramaker, in Lime Springs.

Fred Daws was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Daws and was born September 11, 1869. His wife preceded him in death.

Surviving Mr. Daws are his daughter, Mrs. Ramaker, and a son, Ralph Daws of Dell Rapids, South Dakota.
