Walter Moser, 81, Of Lime Springs Dies
Funeral Services for Walter Moser, 81, of rural Lime Springs were conducted at Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco on Monday, March 8, at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Thomas Woodin officiated with burial in Howard Center cemetery.
Walter L. Moser, son of William E. and Josie (Schrunk) Moser, was born October 25, 1900 in Osterdock. On August 28, 1921, he was united in marriage to Margaret A. Aulives in Guttenberg. They became the parents of eight children. Walter was a farmer in Howard County for 42 years. He also spent many years as a trustee in Howard Center township.
Survivors are four daughters: Ruth Moser of Cresco, Mrs. Phyllis Steinmetz of Tallahassee, Fla., Mrs. Paul (Motsy) Mohlis of Plymouth, Minn., and Louise Meyers of North Babylon, N. Y.; four sons, Robert, William, and Jeffery Moser of Lime Springs and Dean Moser of Robins; 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Lottie Embretson of Elk River, Minn. and one brother, Martin Moser of Guttenberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margaret, three sisters, one brother, and two grandchildren.
