David Riehle
David P. Riehle, 69, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at his residence. The funeral service was Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 6 p.m., at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of Chimes, with Deacon Ron Schroeder presiding. Visitation was Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 3-6 p.m., also at Wisconsin Memorial Park. A private entombment took place.
He was born Nov. 9, 1942, in Cresco, to Wilfrid and Marie (nee McKenna). He attended grade school at Fremont No. 7 and Bluffton country schools. He also attended Decorah High School his freshman year. His family moved to Milwaukee, Wis., in 1957.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in Milwaukee and served in the Navy for four years. He retired from Tower/A.O. Smith after 33 years and then drove semi trucks. David enjoyed hunting and collecting John Deere farm toys. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the VFW Post in Allenton.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (nee Pease); children, Jeffrey (Sandra) Riehle; step-children, James (Joan) Darrow and Tom (Kathy); grandchildren: Elizabeth (Tim), Adam and Nathan Darrow; siblings, Eileen (Robert) Brietsprecher, Audrey (Robert) Wedo, Janice (Joseph) Hahn, Robert Riehle, Marjorie MacFarlan, Marilyn Miller, Lea Riehle; and a brother-in-law, Donald Pease. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Wilfrid “Bill”; parents; sister, Carol Chestnutt; brother-in-law, Daniel MacFarlan, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Cynthia Pease.

The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend assisted the family.
