Fred J. Albertson
Funeral services for Fred J. Albertson were held at the Lincoln church south of Ridgeway Monday afternoon, Pastors A. W. Sorenson and M. B. Quill officiating. Burial was in the Lincoln church cemetery.
Fred Julius Albertson was born Oct. 29, 1890 and died suddenly Oct. 11, 1946. He was the son of Albert H. Albertson and Lena Hopperstad Albertson. He was born near Ridgeway, Ia., and was baptized and confirmed in the Lincoln church congregation.
He was married to Caroline Haakenson, April 3, 1912, by the Rev. Swengrenson at the bride’s home in Ridgeway. He had lived in Cresco 10 years and was employed as a cream hauler for the Cresco creameries.
He is survived by two sons, Carl and Alden of Decorah, their mother, Mrs. Caroline Albertson, two grandsons, Gerald and Richard Albertson, Decorah; his mother Mrs. Lena Albertson and two sisters, Mrs. Buell Woodle and Mrs. Rolf Griffith of Sturgis, S. D.
