Frances Laura Dotzler Long, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dotzler was born September 16th, 1915, on a farm in the vicinity of Bonair, Iowa, and passed away at her home in Cresco, January 2, 1941.

Frances was united in marriage to Charles Long on September 22, 1933. To them were born three children, Fredrich, aged 7, Leonard, aged 6, and Ardith, aged 4.

Besides her husband and the children she leaves her father and mother and eight brothers and five sisters, all who reside in or near Cresco, with the exception of a sister, Mrs. Ralph Daws, of Eagen, S. D. Frances was always a loving and devoted mother and leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her untimely death.

Funeral services were held at the Bradley Funeral home on Saturday January 4th, at two o’clock, conducted by the Rev. George W. Turner, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial was at Howard Center.
