L. E. Webster, whose illness we mentioned a few weeks ago, passed away last Thursday at his Massachu-setts home. The remains are being brought back for interment in the Howard Center cemetery. The funeral takes place to-day at the M. E. church in Bonair.

Lewis Eldridge Webster was born in 1827 in Chautauqua County, N. Y., and died at Leominster, Mass., Feb. 25th 1909, at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 9 days.

When he was 16 years old his father and family moved to La Porte County, Indiana. He was married to Miss Eliza Cole in 1846, from whom five children were born; Clarence, Clark, Minnie, Frank and Nellie, of which number Minnie alone survives. In 1856 he moved to Iowa where his wife died. He was subsequently married to Miss Sarah Irvine and later to Mary Dawes, and from this latter union was born Walter and Roy, the last of whom survives him. Twenty years last autumn he was married to Miss Lizzie Simonds who survives to mourn his loss. He was a loving husband, a kind father, and was respected by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held in the M. E. Church at Bonair,Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Revs. Gammons and Luce. Burial was in the Howard Center cemetery.
