FORMER OSAGE WOMAN DIES

Osage – Mrs. Florence Farnsworth, 28, died Saturday morning at San Diego, California, of pneumonia.

She went to work there about a year ago from Osage. She had lived here a number of years and a few months in Floyd before going west.

She is survived by her parents at Cresco and a twin sister in Wisconsin.

RITES FOR SAN DIEGO WOMAN

Cresco – Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, November 16 at the Bradley Funeral Home in Cresco for Mrs. Florence (Hildahl) Farnsworth, who died in San Diego, at the age of 29.

Burial was in the Oregon Cemetery south of here. The Rev. H. H. Normann, pastor of the First Lutheran Church officiated.

Surviving are a twin sister Frances and her father, Martin Hildahl.

Florence was the daughter of Martin Hildahl and Esther (Crawford) Hildahl. She married Raymond Romaine Farnsworth in January 1931 , the son of Willis and Ella (Davis) Farnsworth.

Florence and Raymond were divorced in January 1935. (info from article/marriage license found in newspapers).

They were remarried on August 13, 1935 in Rapid City, South Dakota (S. Dakota marriage record) Robert R. Farnsworth 25 living in Grand Meadow, Minnesota and Florence Farnsworth 22 living in Cresco, Iowa.

Raymond Farnsworth was born November 12, 1909 in Howard Co., Iowa. After Florence’s death he married Gladys Elizabeth (Ohlrau) Ecker in 1973 in San Diego. Raymond died June 14, 1987 in San Diego.
