Funeral services were held Saturday, May 28, 1988, at Maple Leaf Lutheran Church, rural Elma, for Lois marie Groth, 69, of rural Lime Springs. Burial was in the Saratoga Cemetery. Mrs. Groth died Wednesday, May 25, 1988, at the Howard County Hospital in Cresco.

She was born January 7, 1919, in rural Howard county, Iowa, to Daniel and Martha Breitstrecher Bernette. She married Erdman Groth.

Mrs. Groth was employed at Lubbert Feeds in Saratoga and First National Bank, Riceville.

Her parents; her husband; and one sister preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Wally (Angela) Russell of North Carolina; one son, Daniel of St. Ansgar; one sister, Arlys Schwake of Toledo; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
