FATAL ACIDDENT--Wednesday afternoon Joseph Andera, living about 9 miles south-west of Cresco, on the H. E. Lomas farm, was killed by being run over by his own wagon. It seems he was returning home with a load of oats and was thrown off by a wheel dropping in a rut, and the hind wheel run over his chest, inflicting injuries that caused his death about 11 o'clock. The accident occurred about 5 o'clock in the afternoon and he did not regain consciousness from that time until his death; so we are informed by Dr. Jinderlee who was summoned to attend him. Deceased was a man about 60 years of age and leaves quite a family.

DIED--Joseph Andera, Wednesday, at 11 p.m., from a fall from a wagon loaded with oats; one wheel went over his breast injuring him internally. He never regained consciousness and died seven hours later. Deceased was 54 years old and leaves a large family, almost all grown up. He was insured in the Catholic Workmen and Western Catholic Union. Both of the societies attended the funeral Saturday, March 12th.

Transcriber’s Note: Holy Trinity Cemetery shows he was born August 10, 1850 and died March 9, 1904. It also shows his name spelled as Josef.
