On June 28, 1917, he was united in marriage with Sylvia A. Grabau. Mr. and Mrs. Goetsch became the parents of two sons and two daughters, all of whom survive.

Surviving Mr. Goetsch are his wife, Sylvia, and four children, Mona, William E. and Lawrence Goetsch, at home, and Vera, now Mrs. Robert Easier of Waterloo.
