Mrs. Pearl Goetch, funeral held Dec. 31

Funeral services were held Dec. 31 at 3:30 p.m. in Cresco's United Methodist church for Mrs. Pearl Evans Goetch, 93, who died Dec. 30 at Reutlinger Care Center. The Rev. Wayne Wasta officiated at the service. Burial was at Cedar Hill cemetery with Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral home In charge of arrangements.

Pearl Evans Goetch was born March 20, 1864, in Albion township to Mr. and Mrs. John Evans. She grew up in the Cresco area and taught rural school and then third grade in Cresco.

She was married to Edward Goetch in 1910. The couple were the parents of a son, James.

Mrs. Goetch was a member of the Methodist church, P.E.O. and Eastern Star for 52 years.

Surviving are her son, James, of Wheeling, IL., and two grandchildren, Diane Goetch of Iceland and James Goetch, Jr., of Wheeling, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Herbert R. and John P. Evans, and three sisters, Ruth Evans, Edna Evans Coll and Mary Evans
Thayer.
