LILLIAN M. KRAMER

Lillian M. Kramer, fifth child of J. A. and Bertha Kramer, was born in Albion township, Howard County, Iowa, November 6th, 1896. In her early childhood days she moved with her parents to Dexter, Minn., where she obtained her grade school education. She was graduated from the Austin, Minn., high school and Mankato, Minn., Teachers College, and spent three years in the teaching profession. In the spring of 1917 she entered the government service in Washington, D. C., which position she held until ill health necessitated her retirement in January, 1935. While in Washington she obtained her Law degree from the National University, and was admitted to the bar June 13th, 1932.

She passed away at the home of her sister, Delia McGinnis in Birmingham, Ala., April 26th, 1936 at the age of 39 years, 5 months and 20 days. She is survived by her mother, Bertha Kramer, of Dexter, Minn., two sisters, Delia McGinnis of Birmingham, Ala., and Maybelle Burk of Sioux Falls, S. D.; three brothers, Theodore and Howard of Long Beach, Cal., and Edward of Dexter, Minn.

The funeral was held Friday, May 1st from the Zion Evangelical church, Rev. Park E. Miller officiating. Miss Sylvia Bloom and Violet Bigalk sang "Rock of Ages" and "Does Jesus Care?" Mrs. P. E. Miller accompanied at the piano.

Those in attendance from out of town were Mrs. Bertha Kramer and Ronald, Mr. and Mrs. John Curly and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph DeYoung all of Dexter, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Kramer of Austin, Minn., Mrs. Audella McGinnis of Birmingham, Ala., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burke of Sioux Falls, S. D., Mr. Howard Kramer of Long Beach, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Cato Guisy and Mrs. Mona Goeltz of Belmond, la., Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hebis of Cherry Grove, Minn.
