Burial Service for Former Resident Held Saturday
Graveside services for Mrs. Bertha Kramer, 80, former Cresco resident, who died Wednesday in her home in Dexter, Minnesota, following a short illness, were held in the Cedar Hill cemetery in Albion township Saturday afternoon,
The Rev. H. A. Stenberg, pastor of the Evangelical Brethren church in Cresco, was in charge of the services near Cresco, and funeral services were held in Dexter in the morning.
Bertha Kadolph, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Kadolph, was born in Germany, January 14, 1868. She came with her parents to the United States at the age of one year. They settled in Eldora where she lived until her marriage to Jacob A. Kramer of Cresco, July 5, 1885.
Mr. and Mrs. Kramer and their family lived for 40 years on the farm now owned by Charles Bigalk north of Cresco. They were the parents of eight children, five of whom survive. They are Theodore H. Kramer and Howard H. Kramer of Long Beach, California, Edward Kramer of Dexter, Mrs. Fred Burk of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Mrs. Paul McGinnis of Montgomery, Alabama. In addition to her children Mrs. Kramer is survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Halweg of Merrill, and Mrs. John Granzow of Eldora, and two brothers, George A. Kadolph of Ovid, Michigan, and Ed Kadolph of Eldora.
